Day 2 - January 2nd, 2011
I'm fairly certain that these pups are going to drive me crazy. I'm also fairly certain that getting my many excursions functioning will give me a heart attack. Therefore, very soon I shall be insane and unable to speak properly on the left side of my mouth. Oh great, I'm going to be Katie Holmes.
I'm working on getting my hands on some essential oils for a fair price. I'm dying to make some candles, since Spenser and I burn through so many in the apartment. In the past week alone, we've managed to work our way through five or six of them. Each were glade so they were made with watered down fragrances and had a paraffin wax base, so they were cheaper but burned quicker. After doing that bit of research to understand the large price gap in candles, it occurred to me that we could save if I did it. Moreover, I think I could bring something new to the mix. I could use essential oils, so the fragrance was pure and strong, and broke down in the air as it should be properly done - reducing allergic reactions like people have to cheap fragrance that cannot break down. I can use soy wax so it burns slower and clean, and is all natural. Last but not least, instead of basic looking candle holders, I could bring my creative side across and make something really beautiful. I could do themes almost, like a "Gothic Lolita" candle for Kourtney with a vanilla infused sandalwood fragrance. Or, I could do a "Island Dreamer" with coconut and hibiscus flower. I have a million and one ideas, though I always seem to do this. Come up with great things and never make them happen.
All I know is it would do nicely in an etsy shop, and on the shelves of the bakery my mother and I are dying to open.
I know I'll make all my dreams happen someday, and until that day I will fight.
Apart from that, I have 111 days until my wedding, and tonight I will get one step closer to achieving some of my resolutions when we go grocery shopping. :)
Overall, a very good start to the year.
